The Magic Flute at Big Penny Social - Transforming one of London’s largest industrial venues into an immersive operatic soundscape. This production brought together hundred of young voices. We used the vast space to create a powerful, inclusive connection between the performers and the community.

In 2024, over 700 primary school children from across Waltham Forest joined forces for two spectacular sold-out performances of Mozart's most celebrated work - The Magic Flute. Created and Directed by Soprano Maya Sapone, and produced by Waltham Forest Music Service, this unique children’s adaptation was performed at the Big Penny Social, Walthamstow. The project was made possible through music education funding from Arts Council England and the incredible resources from the Royal Ballet & Opera’s CREATE & SING programme.
